FHWA releases Guide on Separated Bike Lanes on Higher Speed Roadways: A Tool Kit and Guide (June 2024)
This resource is designed to help transportation agencies, planners, and engineers design and implement bike infrastructure by providing the guidance needed to create safer separated bike lanes, particularly on higher-speed roads where the risk to people biking is greater. It helps them navigate the challenges that have previously limited the installation of these lanes in the places where they are most needed.
