​Are you interested in making your community a safer place to bike and walk, but are overwhelmed or ​unsure where to start? ​You've come to the right place!​ The Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission (SPC) web-based toolkit is a central clearinghouse ​​for the latest information on active transportation. Resources include information on programs that support biking and walking, potential funding opportunities, design guidance, and more!

Yellow GOAT Bike Club rides / 2023
SPC's  Yellow GOAT staff bike club rides are open to all and e-bikes are welcome, in accordance with guidance established by the Pennsylvania Vehicle Code. For information on biking in PA state parks and forests, see DCNR's  Fact Sheet on E-Bikes and Biking in Pennsylvania State Parks and Forests (PDF). This fact sheet also includes basic information on trail safety and etiquette.

Active Transportation Forum

Network with other change-makers!
Virtually attend SPC's quarterly Active Transportation Forums to learn more about what's going on with projects and programs to improve conditions for people who bike and walk in our region. Network with peers, share strategies and provide input on regional planning efforts.
